hello beginning, goodbye end!

  As I stood at Clark Quay counting down the last seconds of the year, with my eye candy right beside me (through an unexpected chain of events), I felt marvelled at all I've been through the past 2011. I ORDed, I started by coaching career, I'm a uni undergrad now, and once again I'm looking for love at all the wrong places/people. This girl has the eyes/smile/voice of an angel which steals my heart every single time. And tonight, she looked amazing with her bare shoulder blouse!
  Till now, I'm still struggling to figure her out... if she's interested or not, or if she even sees my attempts to reach out to her. It kinda seems I'm becoming more chummy with her friends than with her. I really want to be part of her life, and I'm hoping she can be a part of mine too. I've been so bad at courtship so far, but I really do hope this one works out. Oh well, I really wish and pray that my next entry would bring good news in this department eh, eh?? Till then, this is Ju signing out!!

Since that uncalled personal attack during HoN last night, I shall henceforth pledge to be a more successful person in every aspect than those elitist jackasses! ALL OF THEM!!

JDrama of the month

Mr Brain

When I first saw this title, I got the impression it was all gimicky and stuff.. kinda like Galileo was... But after getting started on episode 1, I simply couldn't stop!

This was partially thanks to the stellar performance of an all-star cast epi after epi. The eccentricity of the lead was wonderfully portrayed by Kimura Takuya and the blur assistant Ayase Haruka. Was also awesome to see guest appearences from kame-kun (nerd ver.) and the oh-so talented Nakama Yukie with the flawless portrayal of a DiD suspect.

The  plot twists were exciting and the humour was spot on. It's a pity the series is a tad short. Would love a season 2 if they don't ruin it.And did I mention that Nakama Yukie was awesome?

Scott Pilgrim VS The World

Okay, I never thought that anyone other than the japanese could make a manga-styled action random comedy into a movie (even they don't get it right). But along came Scott Pilgrim Vs The World. The lead is a cheating asshole nerd who has to fight Ramona's 7 exes as long as he wants to stay with her, as he breaks up with his current cute asian gf. Yea, the story is not really a story, and the scenes are all over the place. But the manga-arcade-styled fight scenes were done really well and there was hardly a part where it was really boring. The humour is random, which totally suits me rather than slapstick jokes.
Overall, this ain't a show for everyone unless you're just in it for some good ol' brainless action.

Anime Of The Month

                                     

As you might have already guessed right from the above picture, High School Of The Dead is pure fan service. Zombie-slaughtering, blood, weapons and best of all, those pairs of bullet-dodging, gravity defying, eye-popping boobs! There is hardly a storyline in sight, but with eye candy like this, to hell with storyline!!
